  1. I am searching for the burial place for my great grandmother Jemima Lodessa Bailey Arnett Kingery Fox. She also went by the nicknames of “Minnie” and “Dessie”, and she was married to three different men. I asked the Cumberland County Clerk to search for her death record and the following is what I received.

“Henry, I was not able to find any information on Tandy Isaac Arnett, but I did find a death certificate for Lodessa Fox (Spelling is different). She was born Feb 5, 1863 in Shelbyville, IL. Her father’s name was Lemon H Bailey. She died April 18, 1948 and is buried at Jewett Cemetery in Woodbury Township. I believe this is who you are looking for. If you would like to have a copy of the death certificate please send $14.00, a copy of your drivers license and a self addressed stameped envelope to us. The address is: Cumberland County Clerk, PO Box 146, Toledo, IL 62468. Please send it to my attention. Bev Howard”

I looked at the listing for this cemetery and could not find her record. Do you suppose she is in an unmarked grave?

    Thank you,

    Henry A. Weaver
